Protect Online Gambling from Underage

Nowadays, not only adults are interested in online gambling, but also many teenagers play it illegally. In some people’s viewpoint they argue that online gambling should not be legal; underage will be addict to it. However, opponents think that legalizing internet gambling will protect underage. 

I did some research online and found out there is a new technology, called “screening test” that will be able to make people feel more safe. Moreover, parents won’t have to worry about children will be able to gamble online. But they could gamble if their parents have opened up the online gambling account or forgot to close it off,  maybe people can work on the strength of the systems to solve the problems after. For instance, we can put a system in place that closes the browser after the end of 15 minute.    For me I think there are few reasons why children and teenagers like online gambling. For example, since they can’t go in a casino, and go in debt legally, they do it on the Internet although it is still illegal. Moreover, online gambling might lead underage into a bad influence, such as addictive, or anxious.

 I found some facts and true stories on the Internet-

One is about college students who committed suicide as a result of online gambling and the debts they drove up. In addition, a true story- A person ran up over $10,000 worth of debt illegally, after he turned to burglary to try to solve this problem, and ended up in prison. Many gamblers don’t care about this because they just care about the money on these games. Also, they make money on the athletes to bet online.
